Design Trust announces Design Trialogues Launch: Design Trust Decade Talks 2024 will be held on Saturday September 14th 2024 at Tai Kwun Hong Kong, kicking off a series of new programmes and initiatives in celebration of 10th anniversary of Design Trust and Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design since 2007. Visionary leaders in global design and culture community will join the event along with wider Design Trust community to reflect and envision the future role of design from Hong Kong to the Greater Bay Area and internationally.

Design Trust creates active long-term, intelligent and meaningful platforms to fund and advocate for the positive value of the process of design, debate and creative sharing. We support innovative, thought-provoking investigations in various design disciplines from graphics, media, wearable technologies, architecture to the environment to actively accelerate creative research, design and development of meaningful projects that advocate for the positive role of design. With a sincere commitment to advance design competency, catalysing our programmes to benefit and inspire the public on the role of design, as well as supporting emerging designers and scholars’ research on urgent topics, Design Trust has supported over 560 grantees, fellows, mentee designers and collaborative teams to date since 2014. Design Trialogues: Design Trust Decade Talks 2024 will become a key moment bringing together the local, regional and international design and cultural community through Design Trust’s grants and community platform responding to the urgent and critical issues including local and regional architectural heritage as well as Greater Bay Area design and cultural network.
As the first edition, Design Trust Decade Talks 2024 will mark the official launch of the new public talk series Design Trialogues exploring new model of conversations that advocate the positive role of design from multiple perspectives. The event will also kick off a series of public programmes and new initiatives starting from September 2024 including the inaugural Open House Hong Kong 2024 in partnership with Design Trust, Design Trust Futures Studio Greater Bay Area research programme and new research partnership internationally with oversea institutions.
