We provide Seed and Feature Grants to individual designers, curators, collectives and non-profit organisations for projects and activities focusing on the context and content relevant to Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. These projects demonstrate originality, criticality and urgency of the research topic, and include but are not limited to: exhibitions, research projects and creative installations, that can benefit and further advocate the positive role of design in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Design Trust currently accepts applications twice a year on April 20th and October 20th.
Design Trust Impact Grant supports public-facing and community-based projects led and driven by former Design Trust grant recipients, fellows and mentees with proved track record to advance their research supported by Design Trust to expand its knowledge impact. Engaging various stakeholders from public and private sectors as well as academic and industry experts with international exposure, the projects awarded benefit the public, and contribute to the critical research and experimentation while piloting innovative models of community engagement at different scales.
Partnering with world renowned institutions, we offer fellowships that allow individuals to develop their emerging careers, build in-depth research, acquire and create innovative work or increase their skills within their related discipline. These include, but are not limited to residency programmes, internships, research, writing, collaborative projects, and workshops.
