Raphael Monnier and Calvin Wang of Blue Temple received a Design Trust Seed Grant in 2019 for their innovative public space initiative “Gyo Byu Pipeline Initiative”. Blue Temple is a community collaboration platform in Yangon, Myanmar, and together with Taiwanese and Burmese University Students, designed prefabricated bamboo modules for a pedestrian highway. The highway provided the community with a car-free pathway in an environment where pedestrians are otherwise unconsidered. In 2019, Myanmar Mix details the community impact of the project here.
