Design Trust is pleased to announce the upcoming Inter-island Festival 2023, a bi-annual art and lifestyle festival dedicated to the inter-island ferry and the outer islands. The festival connects the outer islands of Peng Chau, Cheung Chau and Lantau Island’s Mui Wo and Chi Ma Wan, as well as the inter-island sea. Scheduled for four weekends from November 4th to 26th, the festival hopes to foster connections and exchange between the natural islands and the communities around.

In this upcoming edition, the festival will contain of two components: five 6-month working residencies and a 1-month long Festival presenting projects born out of the residencies and spanning from urban/rural cultures, environmental conservation, to design and crafts. The festival aims to highlight the distinct environments, communities, histories and concerns of these places, to promote and protect their shared cultures and raise awareness of the invaluable nature Hong Kong possesses. This project is also supported by C.C.Wu Cultural and Education Foundation Fund and Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau.
