We are pleased to share that Design Trust Impact Grant programme Open House Hong Kong (OHHK) 2025 will return and take place on two weekends of November 22nd – 23rd and 29th – 30th supported by Design Trust Impact Grant as Lead Partner. Organized by a team of local architects, curators, arts practitioners, researchers, designers and writers, the Open House Hong Kong was inaugurated in 2024 with Design Trust as the founding partner.

Design Trust Impact Grant programme Open House Hong Kong (OHHK) 2025 will return on two weekends of November 22nd – 23rd and 29th – 30th

Building on the success of the inaugural edition, the 2025 edition of OHHK returns with a theme of "What Makes a Good City?", exploring the multiplicity of places that constitute a liveable and vibrant city. The event will open the doors of notable and remarkable architectures in the city, and participants will experience with guided walks or self-guided visits. To further engage the community, the committee will also initiate a round of open calls. OHHK 2025 will continue to deliver inclusive, holistic and engaging architectural appreciation for all.

Highlights from Open House Hong Kong 2024

OHHK 2025 will continue to host dialogue sessions to connect the local audience with global representatives from the architectural community and organizers of Open House of other cities. Curated walking routes will be introduced this year highlighting the relationships between featured sites and their contexts, available as self-guided walks and walks led by experts.

Design Trust is pleased to continue championing Open House Hong Kong with Design Trust Impact Grant, which supports public-facing and community-based projects led and driven by former Design Trust grant recipients, fellows and mentees with proved track record to advance their research supported by Design Trust to expand its knowledge impact. Engaging various stakeholders from public and private sectors as well as academic and industry experts with international exposure, the projects awarded benefit the public, and contribute to the critical research and experimentation while piloting innovative models of community engagement at different scales.
