The Design Trust Charity Benefit is an annual flagship fundraising event first initiated in 2008 as the Ambassadors Ball to culminate the collective power of giving of our patron community in order to amplify the positive impact of design in society. Design Trust Charity Benefit 2025 was curated by Marisa Yiu (Co-Founder, Lead Curator / Executive Director) at the 19th century historic site Murray House to launch the three-month programme Design Trust Futures Festival: The Art of Transformation. Past Creative Directors, Event Design Leads and Curators include: Victoria Tang-Owen & Christopher Owen and Marisa Yiu (2024), Chi Wing Lo and Marisa Yiu (2023), William Lim, Mak2 Ying Tung 2 and Elaine Yan Ling Ng with Marisa Yiu (2021), Archigram (2019), OMA/Rem Koolhaas & David Gianotten (2018). Previous editions for the 10th Anniversary of the Charity in 2017 held at Kerry Hotel has Andre Fu and Adonian Chan leading the event. Past editions also involved Stickyline, Adrian Wong, Joyce Wang, Neri & Hu, Vivienne Tam, Douglas Young, Alan Chan and Stanley Wong. In 2017 the format transformed and in 2018 OMA/Rem Koolhaas & David Gianotten were the Creative Director, while in 2019 ARCHIGRAM was the leading Creative Directors bringing the event to a wider and larger international community.
