We are pleased to announce that the 9th UABB Shenzhen Qianhai Sub-venue “Shenzhen-Hong Kong Collaborative Platform” is currently on display until May 7th 2023, marking the first exhibition in mainland China to showcase the highlights of design research and community projects supported by Design Trust in the past nine years.
Curated by Marisa Yiu with Zheng Zhou in collaboration with Rong Zhao and Rui Zhang from Design Society, the archive survey exhibition presents a snapshot of how Design Trust has been supporting emerging designers, architects and researchers from Hong Kong to Shenzhen and even beyond Greater Bay Area, highlighting the selected creatives’ journey with Design Trust and the flagship programme Design Trust Futures Studio Micro-park Initiative.
With a sincere commitment to advance design competency, catalysing our programmes to benefit and inspire the public on the role of design, as well as supporting emerging designers and scholar’s research on urgent topics, Design Trust has supported 532 grantees, fellows, mentee designers and collaborative teams to date since 2014. Supporting local and regional designers and scholars, our community consists of 70% Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area based grantees, whose projects extend beyond 47 cities internationally. Celebrating and sharing knowledge with expertise to an international audience, Design Trust continues its positive impact on the role of design from the Greater Bay Area to a wider stage. Visit the show now and stay tuned for our future programmes in Greater Bay Area soon.
