Save The Date: The Ambassadors Ball 2018

The Ambassadors Ball 2018 will take place on Saturday, 27th Ocbtober.

This year, our annual fund-raising event – The Ambassadors Ball will be held on Saturday, 27th October 2018 at The Grand Ballroom, Kerry Hotel Hong Kong. The Ambassadors Ball 2018 will be highlighted with a live and silent auction featuring exceptional and limited edition pieces of art, furniture and decorative items. Thank you to our Benefit Committee and Trustees for their continuous support, the funds raised will go towards research grants and cultural projects that actively accelerates creative research and design that advocates for the positive role of design. We are also pleased to have Pritzker Prize Architect in support as our Creative Director this year.

“We began in 2006 as a small non-profit with big dreams to enlivening our city through cultural experiences with continuous endeavor to promote design and creativity. To date, in benefit of Design Trust, we are proud to have enabled research grants, design and culture projects.” says Alan Lo, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The annual fundraising benefit will support Design Trust creative projects that develop expertise and build research initiatives and content related to Hong Kong and the Greater Pearl River Delta Region. Working across a multiplicity of design disciplines from graphics, media, and architecture to the built environment, Design Trust aims to actively accelerate creative research, design, and the development of meaningful projects that advocate for the positive role of design.

“In bringing various communities together, I hope we can advance a spirit of generosity and advocate for the positive values of design to better shape the city and region we live in,” says Marisa Yiu, Co-founder, Executive Director of Design Trust.

As with every year, highlight of the evening is the Live and Silent auctions featuring exceptional and limited edition works of art, furniture and décor items from some of the most celebrated names in the local and international art and design circles.
