Design Trust is pleased to share an upcoming virtual dialogue, “Future of Design Curation” where recent fellows, Design Trust/RCA Fellows Carrie Chan (2018) and Anne Zhou (2019) will present their research exploring curatorial practice and theory in relation to existing and emergent design disciplines, and its place within the interdisciplinary curatorial field. This sharing will bring guest speakers and experts in fields to respond in a roundtable on the “Future of Design Curation” . Welcome and introduction by Marisa Yiu, Co-founder/Executive Director of Design Trust, Sarah Cheang, Head of Programme, History of Design, RCA; alongside the world renowned historian Jane Pavitt, Professor of design and architectural history, Head of Impact at Kingston University London ; former Dean of Humanities at the Royal College of Art (2010-2017) and Research Fellow at the V&A Museum/Brighton University (1997-2010) will chair the conversation amongst invited respondents: Deyan Sudjic, Director Emeritus of the Design Museum, Director of the Design Museum (2006 –2020), Priya Khanchandani, Head of Curatorial + Interpretation, Design Museum, along with Marisa Yiu, Co-founder, Executive Director of Design Trust.
Design Trust / RCA Fellowship in Design Curation 2022: ‘Hyperlocal’ is open for applications inviting interested applicants for the 2022 Design Trust / RCA Fellowship in Design Curation deadline of 23rd September 2021 with a focus on the theme ‘Hyperlocal’.
