Design Trust Seed Grant research and exhibition “BRUTAL! - Unknown Brutalism Architecture in Hong Kong” led by Bob Pang winning the Special Architectural Award - Curation & Exhibition Design of HKIA Annual Awards 2021. This research and exhibition of Brutalist Architecture in Hong Kong has marked a kick-off milestone for the conservation discourse of post-war architectural heritage in the city. It sheds new light and insight, using a refreshing approach in presenting architectural history to reach a popular public interest.

It is also our pleasure to share that Bob Pang and his research team has recently awarded Design Trust Feature Grant in January 2022 for the second phase of their research commitment to the brutalism architecture in Hong Kong. Which will extend the research into a deeper and wider context, acknowledging the facts and findings into analytical documentation for two book publications while further continuing the knowledge exchange among institutions and public on the topic of brutalism architecture with a regional focus.
