Design Trust is pleased to share the book preview sharing of “The Untold Stories: Hong Kong Architecture” by Raymond Fung held at Design Trust Studio on February 22nd  2024. The publication “The Untold Stories: Hong Kong Architecture” captures the unknown stories of Hong Kong architects who have played a critical role in shaping the city of Hong Kong from multiple angles including a wide range of public and private architecture projects. Through the international publication and distribution of this book, Raymond and the team revealed the hidden stories of architects and designers behind the dynamic architectural landscape of Hong Kong.

The preview book sharing was held on Thursday February 22nd  2024 at Design Trust Studio with a keynote presentation from Raymond Fung. Raymond and the team also shared the research process behind the English version publication followed by dialogues with academic and architects Weijen Wang and Anderson Lee whose works are also featured in the book. The engaging sharing and exchange extended the discussion on how to shape and cultivate the urban and architecture culture for the larger public community as well as the urgency behind architecture publication and archive.

Raymond and his team have conducted extensive research on the Hong Kong architecture scene and selected culturally and historically significant architecture pieces to be further explored in the publication.  Over 70 architects have been interviewed whose design philosophies and reflections are documented in this extensive publication. The English publication further shared the unknown stories of Hong Kong architects to a wider international community.
