In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Design Trust, an initiative of the registered charity Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design that was founded in 2007, Design Trust Decade Auction 2024 “The Art of Doubling” fundraising event will be held on Friday, March 22nd 2024, featuring more than 28 lots of artworks, design objects and experiences generously donated from galleries, artists, architects and friends of Design Trust from unique special edition pieces created for this milestone to established artists, craft makers to architects contributions to support the annual charity fundraiser. With the theme "the Art of Doubling" curated by Co-founder/ Executive Director Marisa Yiu, Design Trust Decade Auction 2024 marks a return for one of the most significant events supporting Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area design communities.
All fundraising proceeds will go towards education, micro-parks, design development projects, and research grants for the DESIGN TRUST initiative. The charity auction will include pieces from Henry Steiner, Movana Chen, Lov - Lov, William Lim, Zaha Hadid Design & Karimoku Furniture as well as contributions from Sara Wong & Warren Leung Chi Wo, Julie Progin & Jesse Mc Lin (Design Trust Futures Studio 2019 and 2022 mentees), Florian Wegenast & Christine Lew (Design Trust Futures Studio 2019 and 2022 mentees, grantees), Michael Young & Xavier Tsang (Design Trust Futures Studio 2019 mentor and Seed Grantees) and Pat WingShan Wong & Kachi Chan (Design Trust Seed Grantees).
