M+ Matters: Conversations on Women, Architecture, and the City

23. 11. 2019

On 23rd November 2019, Design Trust Co-founder/ Executive Director Marisa Yiu participated in “M+ Matters: Conversations on Women, Architecture, and the City” at Asia Society, where she was in conversation with Architect Nora Leung for panel “Building, Designing, and Drawing: Individual and Collaborative Practices”. Sharing her visions on social values and architecture, Nora worked closely with the late Paul Rudolph on Lippo Centre, and the conversation highlighted the importance of human-centric design and public space under the backdrop of 1980s Hong Kong. With the participation of other prominent scholars and practitioners including Minnette de Silva, Wang Chiu-hwa, Julia Fung, Corrin Chan, Anna Kwong, Winnie Ho, Joan Leung, Joalin Au, Shirley Surya and Eunice Seng, the discussion explores the life and work of the under-represented female voices in architectural production and their roles in shaping the built environment in Asia.

Design Trust continuously seeks to initiate dialogues and conversations in areas of design and architecture in Hong Kong. Thank you M+ and the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Architecture for inviting us to participate in the series of thought-provoking dialogues.
