The first solo exhibition of Henry Steiner’s work in Hong Kong, the project highlights his legacy in establishing graphic design as a profession in Hong Kong and his distinctive approach to crosscultural graphic communication. A forum, seminars, workshops, and guided tours will be held concurrently, targeted at students, industry practitioners and the general public. This exhibition, documentation and engagement activities form the outcomes of a systematic study, cataloguing and archiving of Henry Steiner’s oeuvre that leads to the Henry Steiner Collection at the Hong Kong Graphic Archive – a future physical and digital reference library for learning and research, made available to design practitioners, scholars, students, and the general public.
