On Friday 24th May 2019, Design Trust held a Editorial Roundtable featuring Design Trust Seed Grant Recipient Mimi Zeiger, where participants from her recent critical writing workshop presented fascinating readings on Hong Kong’s back alleys, small makers and factories, typologies of social housing, amongst other personal stories. The evening ended with a thought-provoking roundtable discussion with our Greater Bay Area Advisors Suzy Annetta (Editor-in-Chief, Design Anthology), Cole Roskam (Associate Professor, The University of Hong Kong) and Irene Lam (Head of Public Relations, Cheil Greater China) and Eric Schuldenfrei (Head of Department of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong) on the role of CRITICISM NOW, the “transnational” voice, the tone of the critic the observer, and the question of audiences.
