OHHK2025

Supported by Design Trust’s Impact Grant since the inaugural edition in 2024, the highly anticipated "Open House Hong Kong" returns this November on two weekends – 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th as the second edition! This project aims to give exclusive access, free-of-charge, to spaces and architecture in Hong Kong through guided tours led by expert docents, architects or designers and thematic walking routes curated by the organizing committee.

This year's edition continues to uphold the spirit of an open city with new programmes planned by a team of a cross-disciplinary team of practitioners. The selection of more than 80 spaces in Hong Kong presents the diversity of the history, nature, function, innovation, and geography within Hong Kong. Most of the hidden gems are rediscovered or first to allow public visits, in mind to revitalize the legacies of cultural significance and urban planning with the immediate built environment. Newly added spaces this year highlight Hong Kong’s uniqueness and diversity, including the M+ Research Centre, the Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre, the Tsui Ping River project, and the University Hall of The University of Hong Kong etc.

Public programmes such as dialogues with international architecture writers and Open House teams from other countries are engaged, with an elevated accessibility through our volunteer recruitment and open call for spaces to welcome visitors to experience the authenticity and excellence are conserved through innovation to shape Hong Kong as a symbiotic and thriving city.
