Timeless Towers of Murray

2025
3D print and metal frame

Imagine stepping into a space where history and innovation merge. The installation showcases three signature pillars of a historic building, meticulously remade using cutting-edge 3D printing technology. Each pillar stands tall, representing a perfect blend of the past's architectural elegance and the future's technological prowess. Modern materials and intricate details bring the pillars to life, capturing the essence of the original design while adding a contemporary twist. This installation not only preserves the heritage but also celebrates the possibilities of 3D printing in architectural restoration. Within the curatorial vision, this installation echoes the classical order granite columns from the Murray House, and the masonry columns from 1990s Pawnshop at 37 Argyle Street, as architectural elements of study and formal analysis as functional and representational artifacts of culture.
