He often draws inspiration from sports and games, incorporating familiar interactive elements into his projects to create unexpected soundscapes. Notable exhibitions include “The Interpreter,” a sound installation that translates language into rhythm, showcased at Art.Techs 2022, and “Pause Rec Play 2.0,” a sound collage machine inspired by mahjong at Clockenflap 2023. His recent project, “The Club,” merges a pinball machine with a turntable, featured at deTour 2024.

Chaklam is driven by the belief that every object should produce beautiful sounds. His recent projects delve into exploring the tonal qualities of everyday items, such as utensils and tableware, in a new endeavor to transform these commonplace objects into musical instruments.
