The Genius Loci from Pongyu Wai and Avant Garde Horn features the artist Pongyu Wai’s lines on a long scroll as a means of listening to people's stories, a ritual for releasing embedded emotions and contemplating the existence of all beings. Through a speaker inspired by the delta blues resonator guitar, the sound waves it produces will evoke new rhythms in the listeners’ imaginations. Avant Garde Horn is an award-winning audio design company that fuses cutting-edge technology with artistic flair. Its unique approach emerges from collaborations with world artists and traditional artisans, setting a new benchmark in audio excellence and design innovation.
About Pongyu Wai
Pongyu Wai graduated from the Fine Arts Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006. Wai has developed his own oeuvre with ink from ballpoint pen on paper, spinning the thread of his emotion and mind continuously as one line as it multiplies in a rhizomatic manner. His subject matter often relates to the notion of the cosmos, time, nature, across the fields of juxtapositions and metaphysical forms. He lives and works in Hong Kong.
