Envisioned in dialogues with Lead Curator Marisa Yiu, Design Trust Architectural Archive Research Prototype 2026 is presented as a focal point of Design Trust Exhibition 2026 “The Art of Movement”. A selection of archival drawings and documents, historical photographs, newspaper clippings and publications, and oral history documentation are presented in response to the framed views of architectural masterpieces in Central, highlighting Hong Kong City Hall, Jardine House, Hong Kong Club, St. John’s Building, HSBC Main Building, Lippo Centre, Bank of China Tower, Citibank Plaza, The Murray, Tregunter, with the Peak Tram and the Peak Tower. Featuring the essays “City as Museum, Creative Geomancy, and the Sectional Power of Architecture” by Lead Curator Marisa Yiu, and “On the Move” by exhibition academic advisor Prof. Cole Roskam, the Design Trust Architectural Archive Research Prototype 2026 is made possible by the generous support and loaning of materials from Foster + Partners, HSBC Archive, Penelope Seidler and Harry Seidler & Associates, Henry Steiner & Margaret Steiner, Nora Leung, Rocco Yim, John Wu, personal archive of Hardy Lok (John Lok/Wimpey main contractor of HSBC Main Building), Anthony Ng, Hongkong Land Corporate Archives, Zaha Hadid Foundation, the Peak Tramway Company, to empower the research process.
