About Brendan Cormier and V&A East

Brendan Cormier is Chief Curator of V&A East. In 2014, he was lead curator on the V&A's partnership with Design Society in Shenzhen, China. Brendan received Design Trust grants for his research “Unidentified Acts of Design” in 2014 and “The Mass Production of Cool: Re-Making Tolix in the PRD” in 2019. He also participated in Design Trust Futures Studio 2019 as mentor.

V&A East is a new, free two-site cultural institution in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, designed to democratize access to art and design. Design Trust Fellowship at V&A East is launched in 2025 to foster international exchange, enhance expertise and build research initiatives and content related to Hong Kong, as well as the Greater Bay Area and China more broadly.
