Design Dialogue: Architectural Activism between heritage and innovation: HK and beyond

On 27th March 2019, we held a Design Dialogue moderated by Marisa Yiu (Co-founder / Executive Director, Design Trust) and responded by Aric Chen (Curatorial Director, Design Miami). Sharing on heritage/ identity related projects by Puay-peng Ho (Professor Head of Department,
Department of Architecture, School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore); Beatrice Leanza (Creative Director & Co-founder, B/Side Design); Hunter Tura (President and Chief Executive Officer, Bruce Mau Design); Alexander Groves (Co-founders, Studio Swine)

The panel is in partnership with DESIGN TRUST, a Hong Kong based Design NGO and brings together designers, architects, artists, preservationists and curators to have a conversation around heritage buildings, urban transformation and critical art making in Hong Kong, Greater Bay Area and beyond. With accelerating urbanisation -how can we agitate and provoke new ideas in learning from the past -such as heritage craft to architectural innovation- in the context of Hong Kong and the contemporary city.
