Hong Kong-based Mentor Stanley Wong and Designer-Mentees visited three very different public spaces in Hong Kong: the Yau Ma Tei Community Centre Rest Garden and Tin Hau Temple, the Shek Kip Mei Estate market and Cooked Food Stall, and finally the Nan Lian Garden. Designer-Mentees observed the demographics that used the parks, and for which purpose they were being used. Stanley encouraged them to observe whom they were designing the park for, and to select a specific audience to create the maximum impact with their project.
