Upcoming: Design Trust Futures Studio Final Exhibition, 15-31 October 2017

2017-09-07

Design Trust is excited to announce that the final exhibition of its new flagship programme Design Trust Futures Studio will be held from 15th to 31st October, 2017 at Yat Fu Lane, Shek Tong Tsui. The exhibition venue is kindly supported by District15.

The 2017 inaugural theme is “SMALL IS MEANINGFUL”, focusing on concepts of smallness and sharing, the phenomenon of micro-housing and the future of micro-parks. The exploration and research involve housing and parks in Hong Kong, examining how space is utilised.

Since the Introduction Workshop in March, the Designer Mentees have attended various workshops, fieldtrips and a public ideas review. They have been conducting research for the past six months and are now working in teams with their Mentors to develop a series of new prototype micro-parks for Hong Kong, which will be showcased at the final exhibition. A documentary video and a programme booklet will also be unveiled at the final exhibition.

Preparations for the final exhibition are underway and more details will be shared soon. Stay tuned!
