Designer-Mentees were invited inside Hong Kong-based Mentor Gary Chang's Transformer Home, to experience his 32 m² apartment and watch as it transformed from a kitchen, to library, laundry room, dressing room, a lounge with a hammock, an enclosed dining area and a wet bar. With his research being formulated over 40 years, Chang’s Transformer Home is a representation of how spatial restrictions should not limit design ambitions, how details matter, and how limited resources lead to a more creative utilization of space and materials.
