Taking on an ethnographic approach, designer mentee Xavier Tsang has been exploring the collective memories of Haw Par as a starting point to explore notions of human-spatial interaction, mythology and morality.

Working closely with mentor Michael Young, a pendulum diffuser was developed to recreate narratives of the Ten Courts of Hell wall mural that once stands in Tiger Balm Garden Hong Kong. In the September exhibition, a new multi-sensory installation will be presented to amplify the layered narratives of Haw Par.
