Design Trialogues Launch: Design Trust Decade Talks 2024 took place on Saturday September 14th 2024 at JC Cube of Tai Kwun, Hong Kong, in celebration of 10th anniversary of Design Trust and Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design since 2007. Design Trust Feature Grant recipient and Pritzker Architecture Prize recipient Rem Koolhaas was the Inaugural Design Trialogues Keynote Speaker to launch the new programme Design Trialogues conceptualized by Marisa Yiu (Lead Curator/Executive Director), together with his renowned "Project on the City" team at Harvard GSD 1996-1997 back to the Greater Bay Area region.

Design Trust Futures Studio Greater Bay Area: “Nature is Nurture is Nature”

Design Trust is pleased to officially launch Design Trust Futures Studio Greater Bay Area programme themed “Nature is Nurture is Nature” responding to the question “What is the future of Greater Bay Area?”. Curated by Marisa Yiu (Lead Curator/ Executive Director) with Zheng Zhou (Head of Programmes/ Associate Curator), the regional mentorship programme will craft a visionary explorative creative atlas for the Greater Bay Area Region within an international context.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Design Trust and the Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design since 2007, Design Trust Decade Talks on Saturday September 14th 2024 at Tai Kwun Hong Kong brought together the renowned "Project on the City" Harvard GSD team back to the region, with Design Trust grant recipients for a series of thought-provoking panels exploring architecture, urban culture, landscape and heritage in the Greater Bay Area region.

The inaugural Open House Hong Kong in partnership with Design Trust on September 21st- 22nd and 28th- 29th. 2024.

The inaugural edition of Open House Hong Kong supported by Design Trust took place on the weekends of September 21st-22nd and 28th -29th 2024. This new festival showcased the rich architectural heritage of the city of Hong Kong providing 95 tours to around 50 sites and buildings across the city. Design Trust is pleased to support the festival as the Inaugural Partner to advocate architectural heritage and urban culture of Hong Kong with a team of Design Trust community from grant recipients to design scholars along with 94 volunteers and 60 expert docents.

As part of Design Trust Decade celebration, Design Trust participated in BOOKED: Hong Kong Art Book Fair 2024 for the first time at Tai Kwun Contemporary from Friday August 30th to Sunday September 1st 2024 featuring Design Trust Futures Studio micro-park book and highlight grantee publications, with a special signing session from Design Trust Legacy Award 2021 Honouree Dr. Henry Steiner to support and inspire the Design Trust community.

Design Trust Auction 2025 will feature exceptional and limited-edition pieces of art, furniture and decorative items as well as exclusive experience. All the fundraising proceeds will go towards education, micro-parks, design development projects, regional design research programme and research grants for the DESIGN TRUST initiative, created in 2014 by registered charity Hong Kong Ambassadors of Design that was founded in 2007.
