The “After Life Journal” sets out to be an intervention against the taboo of death in Chinese society. The workshop will introduce various procedures one needs to go through when dealing with death. Each participant will be the editor of their own journal through which their personal views on death are exchanged. This project encourages the idea of designing your own funeral and get prepared in ahead of time. By doing so, it helps easing anxiety and worries. The journal will be with the participants for the rest of their life. It conveys the participants’ own preferences and choices for their funeral arrangements which can be carried out by their families when needed.
