Welcome to New Board Member, Jay Parmanand

Design Trust is excited to welcome Jay Parmanand to our Board of Directors. He is an avid supporter of design, believing that “good design, whether product, textiles or architecture, changes the way we feel and think, and ultimately impacts our well-being, environment, and the way we interact with others.”

Jay is particularly keen on architectural and furniture design, and in the last decade, has also become a collector with a focus on mid-century and contemporary pieces. Hong Kong born, he has studied and worked in Los Angeles, New York and London. Working in mergers and acquisitions and private equity in Hong Kong and internationally, he is also a volunteer and supporter for a number of charitable and cultural organisations including Oxfam, Helping Hand, the Sovereign Art Foundation and the Para Site Art Space amongst others. He is excited about working with Design Trust to support and enable talented designers and research scholars to positively impact our community.
