DEVELOPMENT MANAGER or ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & EVENTS

With Manager level business development skills (Roles and title can be discussed in detail with the right candidates' background, strengths, experience)

 

Design Trust, an innovative non-profit organisation, is looking for a dynamic, organized team member to engage in the development of strategies for patrons, trustees, and sponsors relationships, as well as events management. Working closely with the Executive Director, the candidate should be a leader, an enthusiastic learner, detailed oriented, great organiser, self-starter, and interested in design, cultural and design related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Structuring and management patrons, trustees, and sponsors relationships;
  • Developing an annual programme of events for patrons, trustees, and sponsors;
  • Database management and adhering to data privacy regulations;
  • Work plan strategies including budgets, projected incomes and tracking monthly budgets;
  • Building sponsorship acquisition and renewal strategies;
  • Planning and implementation of annual fundraiser and other events;
  • Planning and implementation of marketing collaterals and messaging to ensure brand alignment.

Fluency in spoken and written English, and Chinese is preferred. And strongly preferred with fluent Mandarin Chinese/ Putonghua as a plus.

GRANTS & PROGRAMME COORDINATOR

Design Trust is looking for an energetic and passionate grants and programme coordinator to handle our ongoing patrons and public activities, and manage our grants application workflow. The position will require great communication skills with stakeholders and representatives from different institutions

* PR communications support. Excellent organisational skills. Proficient in writing and speaking English and Chinese is required. Interest in design and cultural research programmes.

CULTURAL ADMINISTRATIVE POSITION

DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Design Trust is looking for a savvy and outgoing Development Coordinator who will handle our fundraising efforts. The individual will be working closely with all director and board members in reaching out and maintaining patron relationships, and pitching sponsorship opportunities to brands.

DESIGN TRUST INTERNSHIPS

We are currently seeking interns in all areas (from research, graphic design to budding curators). Interns play a key role in the accomplishment of our mission, and gain access to our staff and network of advisors, architects and designers here in Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta.

EVENTS HELPER

Design Trust is looking for a dynamic and organized individual to engage in all areas of being our events helper.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Design Trust team:

  • Assist and ensure smooth running of the exhibition
  • Answer enquiries, ushering and promote exhibition to visitors
  • Facilitate exchange with the community; assist with workshops, opening events, and public lecture, as well as conducting surveys.
  • Assist with the set-up and dismantle for the exhibitions and events, logistics liaison, moving of exhibition models, etc.
  • Conducting exhibition tours of approximately 1 hour in length. Be comfortable speaking to small and large groups of people of all ages.
  • Greeting and welcoming tour groups upon their arrival.
  • Dealing skillfully with a variety of visitors under a variety of circumstances.
  • In the event that a tour fails to show up, docent might wander through the exhibition gallery to engage individual visitors and families in impromptu tours or conversations.
  • Taking responsibility to find a replacement docent if you cannot give a tour that has been assigned to you.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skill in English and Chinese
  • Interest and passionate with design topics
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Relevant work experience is preferred
