Istanbul Design Biennial Partner Program Research seeks to maintain a broader examination of the design and cultural scene in Hong Kong, the Pearl River Delta and Asia through the institutions and professionals based there. The research will look into the contemporary approach of institutions; how they include interdisciplinary practices and are creating a relationship between the worlds of design, architecture, and culture and arts, in addition to searching for role model events, organizations and institutions that are not solely devoted to one field, instead creating links for future engagements in various areas. The reseach is designed as pre-preparation research for a partner programme, a so called “tandem” program for institutional or individual partners that seek to build collaborative projects committed to the process of working together, to share their expertise and to learn from each other.
